hd dvr wont record whole series ... even repeats!
I love watching storage wars on AE, so I set my hd dvr to record the whole series. Settings are "BOTH", "DISK IS FULL", "ALL EPISODES".
I wanted to see some episodes this last tuesday and realize I only had 2 recorded. Then I checked the guide to see if there were more episodes, and there were plenty (at least 12 from tuesday to wednesday including repeats). This is kind of frustrating.
I was checking online and some people say that the dvr should be given a fresh signal from tech support in order to function properly again, but Im not sure. What can I do?
Thanks in advance.

No, what is probably happening is that the episodes you are missing are "duplicates" and will not be recorded. If an episode has been recorded in the last 30 days (even if you have deleted it from the disk) the DVR calls it a duplicate and won't record it via the series link. If you want to record duplicates, you have to select each episode manually.
No signals from tech support will change this, it's how the DVR is supposed to work.

I see. I thought something like that could be the cause too, but didn't know that the DVR will still see an episode as a duplicate even if it was already deleted of the hard drive.
Thanks for the help.

Here's a little trick you may not be aware of. Open the guide to the A&E Channel, left arrow to highlight A&E and press the "info" button. A list of all the programs in the next several days will appear and it's easy to scroll through them and press the red record button on each episode you want.
