Help on dish alignment
Had some strong winds this week
and the dish is out of alignment. My question in the Directv set up has these listed (photo attached also)
Azimuth 229, Elevation 40, Tilt 56°
Are these the coordinates I need to use?
My husband passed away in December and this was something he always realigned. Thank you in advance with any advice.

Sorry to hear about your husband.
Can you post a photo of your dish?
Search for my video on YouTube "DirecTV Slimline Dish Setup".

This is not a slimline dish it’s an older 18” dish. I am planning on moving in probate is closed, probably in July, so I really don’t want to upgrade right now.

You don't need to "upgrade". Just call DirecTV and request that they REPLACE your old dish with modern HiDef dish and equipment. It's free. They'll set you up with a Slimline dish to ensure you receive all of your channels since they're discontinuing old non-HiDef equipment.

Since I am going to be moving soon, I would prefer to realign this dish instead of REPLACING it. I just wanted to know if these are the coordinates I needed to use. Thank you taking to time to respond.

That picture you sent over with the dish settings also has the older DIRECTV UI so your receiver is SD-only. When you request the free MPEG swap they replace both your dish as well as the receivers. This is a mandatory upgrade and must be performed very soon or else you will lose most/all of the channels.
As far as aiming an 18 inch dish, it is much simpler than a slimline since you only need the 101 satellite. Ensure that the pole is level and you should have a 7/16 wrench/socket handy to loosen the azimuth bolts. Once loosened, set the elevation and start slowly moving the dish left and right until you see a signal. Dial it in so that signals are 90 and above. You can use the SD receiver as a signal meter while aiming the dish.

What is your ZIP code? I’ll confirm the settings for the dish for 101. Don’t worry about tilt since the 18 inch dishes don’t have that.

When you do call, request a MPEG swap. Do not say "upgrade". The difference is that since the swap is required, there is no 24 month agreement and the HD $10 that is added is credited monthly.
DirecTV is working on finishing the MPEG-2/SD-only shutdown. Hopefully it doesn't reach your account until you are ready with your move.
Are there any R22s in your current setup?
