Help with error 771
I received a recomditioned HDDVR receiver to replace our old one today and hooked it up and now I am receiving none of my normal channels. I tried to reset the receiver and have listed all of my signal strengths on both tuner 1 and tuner 2 on both tuners the results were about the same... 101* all 32 were in upper 90s and 100 on both tuners. Same for 110* and 119*. The minute I hit 99c it's all 0 and NA then 99s had a few readings other than 0s or NAs only on 1-8 and it was 94 0 89 0 87 0 NA NA. 103sand 103cb were also all 0s and NA and 103ca was 1-8 all NA. 9-16 89 91 93 94 87 89 91 94 then 17-24 were 86 88 93 92 85 86 91 92 then the rest were NA.
I'm not sure what I could have done wrong since the old box, though very slow received all the channels I now don't have... Any suggestions on what I can try next...

If you have an HR23, then have you by any chance connected the BBCs from the back of the old DVR to the back of the new DVR? The HR23 does not need BBCs.....
Or if you used to have an HR23 and now have a different DVR, you will need to get two BBCs from DirecTV - just call, they are free of charge..
FYI based on the signals the second scenario seems most likely.......

they are NOT needed on the HR23
