Help with pairing my QN75Q6DAAFXZA Samsung tv remote to DTV RC66RX REMOTE

Just bought a Samsung QN75Q6DAAFXZA Samsung tv.  Tried all the codes for pairing the TV remote to the DTV RC66RX REMOTE.
didn’t work, so called Samsung, they said call DTV of course.  DTV says we’ll have to use the little remote RC71B, that won’t change inputs.  Are you kidding?  Now we have too use the Pioneer receiver remote, the Tv remote and the DTV remote to control the tv.  There has to be a better way.  Can someone help?  Backsliding in technology.

What DVR/Receiver model number do you have?

You press and hold the enter button on the RC7X remotes until the light flashes twice to change the TV inputs.

You'll want to use an RC72/RC73 remote model with your HR44, not the older RC66.

Was Shannon correct in stating that you can change the inputs with the RC72 or 73?  I need to be able to change to the Pioneer receiver for Roku and Apple TV.

Yes you can. But changing inputs works with the TV's inputs, not an AV Receiver. And that's also true with the RC6x remotes.

Hi @cristiebrown, thank you for reaching out.

Please try to troubleshoot your remote control. This might help you to reset your remote control and pair it with your new Samsung TV.

If all the above fails, we suggest you to change from universal remote to a Genie remote as it is more compatible with the system of your DIRECTV Genie receiver.
