hooking sony surround to directv dvr r22

How is the sony bravia 42 in connected to the surround sound ,only one hdmi outlet on the surround and no inlet  it also has a sat/cable connection, dvr has one hdmi and tv has

four hdmi plugs. The Sony 770 surround sound dvd left out if you had a dvr , it only shows a direct connection to the tv
