hooking up dvr
we got a samsung sir-s4040r reciever that we got to replace my son's regular receiver in his room- we are getting the program guide but then we cannot get the program- states searching for signal on satallite 1--- we did not hook up both sat 1 and sat 2 -so i am figuring that is the problem- can we hook up this dvr with out the 2 lines? - we have a dvr in another room and have 2 lines w/ that but we were hoping that we would not need 2 lines in my son's room-- he mainly got the dvr so he can record when not at home, doesn't plan to watch 1 and record 1-- thank you for any help/advise
