Hooking up HD TV to HR22/100 Box

I just moved my old SONY Grand WEGA HD TV in my basement but all I get is looking for a satellite signal.  This is strange because my TV in my bedroom is working fine.  The family room where the old Sony set was hooked I have not replaced with a new TV as yet.  Do I need to have all TVs hooked before the one in the basement works?

Is the basement coax cable connected to your satellite dish?

Then it should work.

How is that basement coax connected to your dish?  Direct coax cable connection to the dish LNB or to a multiswitch?  Can you trace that cable directly back to the dish?  Has there ever been a DirecTV Receiver/DVR connected to it?  Installers typically don't connect rooms without TVs already in place.
