How can I get a new DVR Receiver box for our remote cabin off the grid?? We cannot get a tech out to this place???

We have service that we pay for but we need an extra DVR BOX RECIEVER for our bedroom, we are off the grid no internet but have the Direct TV Satellite dish that was installed by a friend who worked for the company way back. They no longer are there. I cant seem to get anywhere with the customer service as they tell me we need a technician to install it. I just need a box they can put on my account and I can plug it in.
