how do i adjust tv volume from my iphone directv remote from the directv app
hi, i am using my iphone as my direct tv remote with the icon on the direct tv app. I can't find volume buttons....does that functionality not exist?

You can't control your TV's volume with the DirecTV App. The App can only control functions of the DirecTV box. Volume setting requires an infrared remote control that can send signals to your TV.

thank you ! that makes sense. I thought since my genie remote could do it, that the one on my phone could do it too. i appreciate your help.
