How do I get a receiver replacement

My receiver is having problems and I need a replacement shipped to me.

What is the receiver model? What other receivers do you have on your DIRECTV account? Why were you looking to get a replacement, did something go wrong with your current receiver? 

As this is a public forum, you’ll need to call DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) and say ‘technical support’ to the agent. Ask for a replacement receiver. This will require you to return the old one to a participating UPS or FedEx location (depends on receiver model and if it was owned or leased). Be sure to keep the shipping receipt as well as verify that the current receiver was deactivated on your account before returning it.
