Chandon... If you read the other post up above you will see that there is no way of connecting 9 tuners up to the SWM system you currently have. The SWM 3 LNB that you currently have only handles up to 8 tuners. Putting 2 8way splitters is just splitting the 8 tuner signal to 16 availble ports, which is a bad thing to do. If you wish to DIY the project yourself then suggest going to solidsignal.com and purchasing a SWM16 multiswitch and a KA/KU 3 LNB. You will have to have all 4 connections made from the LNB to the SWM16 switch. You should get a 29 volt SWM power supply with it as well which will have its own connection to the SWM16. Then you can connect 1 SWM8 splitter to SWM1 out and your other SWM8 splitter to SWM2. That will give you up to 16 tuners to connect to your Satellite system and also be able to share the same network connection that is connected within the SWM cloud. Good Luck.

Sorry to have ruffled your feathers, but if you'd carefully read my post #2 it included the following:

"However, regardless of which you refer to, Peds48 is spot on, you need a conventional LNB assembly, 4 coax feed to a SWM16 multiswitch and a pair of splitters to distribute the signals."

That tells you just how to do it and what you'd need.  If anyone would read this entire thread it still appears to me that you'd be well served to allow the scruffy installer to put in your SWM16 system.  I may be wrong so why don't you post back when you get it all up and running and let us know?

If you're joining the "zipper" club, welcome, I wish you well.  Be sure to note on the Peds48 schematic that splitter #1 feeds both intputs to port #1 on the Zinwell's, splitter #2 to ports #2, etc.

make sure that you connect output from splitter one to the same ports on both switches, same with splitter two three and four.

This company has the switches you need. Or you can call and ask questions as well.
