How do I set something up to record in advance of new season

I am new customer and used to Dish.  I want to know how I can set something up to record when it is not coming out for a month or two.

I know how to set it up by searching for show name and then selecting and settting it up.  But, when it will not be on air for a while until the new season - it will not show up in the list and I can't select it to set it up.

Is there a way I can set it up now so I don't forget when the show does air?
