Call DirecTV and see if you can place a correction order. You only have 2 weeks starting day of install to do this if available.

However what about the receiver makes it the wrong one? What model did you get and what kind of box were you expecting?

I have a Winegard G2 satellite dish for my motorhome. When Direct tv installed my home system they gave me a H25 receiver for the motorhome.  It is not compatible  with the G2 without a SWM.  An H24 receiver will work with the G2.  I need to swap but have not been successful in my discussions with Technical support.   I have emailed the AT&T rep (Benny who was here checking on the insatllation and said :" any problems, call me"  three times and called and left a message once with no repsonse. Getting frustrated with DTV.

The G2 will be obsolete when DTV shuts down the MPEG2 channels.  Doubt DTV has any H24s left in stock.

You can get a SWM8 module and a 29v power inserter online.

DirecTV does not guarantee an exact model, only the line of equipment. An H24 and H25 are both HD non-DVR. They don't select model number, just provide you next available.

They are moving forward with SWM-only boxes. The G-2 besides not SWM compatible only supports MPEG-2/SD-only which is obsolete. DirecTV is in the process of shutting down those feeds.

Sorry, but even if you had lucked out for any H24s they might have still had in stock it wouldn't change the fact that your motorhome dish needs replacing. You need a slimline SWM dish on a tripod/sled mount or the Winegard Trav'ler.
