How to connect to the Internet or Pandora with the Genie 2 remote

We just started with Directv and have the Genie 2 wireless system.  How do I connect to Pandora, YouTube, etc.?

First your Genie 2 DVR must be connected to your home network for internet access. Is it?

You won't find YouTube on any DirecTV equipment. Pandora should show up under the Extras menu.
