How to edit a recording (searched by ACTOR, NOT a series) from the default 5 recordings to keep to "all."

How to edit a recording (searched by ACTOR, NOT a series) from the default 5 recordings to keep to "all."  I now know how to edit a series (like America's Got Talent) as to how many recordings to keep.  What about a set of Jerry Lewis movies…how to change it from default 5 to "all?"

Hi @dpchamp, thanks for contacting us.

Regarding the management options for the recorded content for your DVR feature, please check this article with more details about the recording features.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thank you for your response.

I know how to set a recording for both series (like Dr. Phil) or any movies by actor (like Jerry Lewis).  Evidently one of my series (by actor) is set to only record 5 movies…deleting old ones when a new one is being recorded.  I have lost several of those movies by my error in setting up the recording schedule.  How can I edit that series (by actor, like Jerry Lewis) to keep all I have recorded?

Hi @dpchamp . We understand the importance of keeping your favorite recordings, that's why we are here to give you a hand.

Please follow these steps to save the recordings to your DVR.

1. Press the LIST button on your remote to go to the playlist.
2. With the program you want to keep highlighted, press the ENTER button.
3. This is the one next to the zero, not the SELECT button in the middle. You'll see the word "KEEP" next to the episode title, meaning that the program won't be automatically deleted.

If you need extra help, let us know. We'll be here for you.

Thank you for your response!!

I did not know about the "keep," but that will require my going to each recording in that list and changing the "keep" time.
Is there a way to edit the conditions to "keep" in some manager; the same as if it is a serial TV show (like Dr. Phil, I know how to edit that)?

You are welcome @dpchamp

In this case it's necessary to go each recording and click on "keep" since an automated feature to do this process has not been created yet, but we are continuously working to improve our service and deliver enhanced features like this one.

Please let us know if you have any other question, we are happy to help.

I did find I can create a new recording list (by ACTOR) and correctly set it to keep "ALL"…which is an option…but it would be much easier to have an edit on these, the same as series recordings.

Thank you very much for your assistance!!
