How to manually update an old/new receiver?

Had a old receiver fail, so I pulled out a fresh receiver from the spares in my attic. (long story, they sent me multiple receivers back in 05)

So I unwrap this brand new, but old receiver, hook it up, call tech support and have them turn on that serial number and new receiver card.

It is still running on the software version from 2005 and won't update.

I called the tech back, and he had no clue how to push an update.

The receiver is a D010 if I remember correctly.

Its currently running, plugged in to phone jack, and system test shows all 'OK' when run.

How to get newer software?
