How to turn off "screensaver" mode for HR24 receivers?
Hello.
After my satellite got upgraded to an SL3, my HR24 receivers (all of them) do this.
If there's no user activity (I don't press any keys on the remote that display the menu, fast forward the viewing, etc.) for several hours on the HR24, the receiver shows something like a screensaver that shows "DirecTV" on it.
This only happened after my HR24 receivers were connected to the new satellite. This did not happen when the receivers were connected to the old (SD) satellite.
I checked the Settings-Power Savings setting and it is "Off", not On.
Is there a way to disable this "screensaver" mode on the HR24 receivers?

No, but as the title says it should only come on when you pause the DVR. This problem has been posted several times over the years so DTV hasn't found or fixed it. It has never done this on my HR24

The Op doesn't state it but DTV receivers auto detect a SWM system.

goldw1800, to add to what shannon02 said, all the receivers are on the upgraded LNB. If it was not, then I would not be able to get any signals because the DTV technician removed the old (round 18") dish.
The satellite setup with the new HD dish is automatic. You don't get to select the satellite dish type anymore. It just automatically selects SWM.
The "Screensaver" problem appeared after I upgraded the satellite. I haven't figured out a way to disable it.

As I said there is no way to disable it. AFAIK it is a bug that DTV can't find/fix and probably not even trying as the HR24s are obsolete in DTV eyes

Another suggestion -try Setting the Hr24's to one of the Music Channels and see if that keeps them awake. I keep all my unwatched Receivers on a Music Channels -Of course the TV is OFF That keeps the DVR'S HD Idle (no) Buffer is used.

No, the DTV receivers are always buffering the two channels and AFAIK even when you are watching them live it is coming from the buffers.
