HR20 Extremly slow response times

Hi, latley, my HR20 has become extremely slow. any command has a 3-5 second delay before it happens, it takes almost 10 seconds to pull up the recorded list, moving through the guide is just painfull... I have tried to reset, does`nt help. I tried to call and upgrade to the HR24, on the idea that all the new fuctions are bogging things down on a 3 year old box, but the tech said that the HR24 will have the same problem. Has anyone had this problem and found a way to fix it?
