HR21 issues
I have read on here the many issues concerning the HR21. I am about fed up with this huge piece of cr@p. I am on my second unit and still having issues. I have to reboot the thing at least once a week, and I can't even begin to count how many recordings have failed or half recorded due to these issues.
Has anyone else experienced these? Is there anything else to do, other than to tell them to take their HD P0S back and go back to a SD unit that works (or leave DTV totally?
1. Channels goes out with either a 771 searching for signal, or channel not purchased message (although they are part of my package).
2. Picture freezes and then I get Spanish coming out of my speakers with a frozen picture.
The only way I have found to resolve this is by a) rebooting the device or b) going into satellite setup and doing the signal strength meters then going back to the picture. The signal strength on all my satellites and transponders are never below 80 (normally between 90-98). It is like the receiver forgets there are satellites up there to watch and needs a jolting from the signal strength test.
The tech that brought out my 2nd replacement receiver checked the cables, and dish alignment. He said it wasn't a problem with them.
This is really annoying when this happens while a recording is happening while you are not home. Just to come home and start watching your show and find out the last 10 minutes are missing! HOW INFURIATING!
