HR-24 external hard drive issues

Hey guys I have an external hard drive (WD 1tb)  that when connected the receiver gives me a code 75-399 and says there is a problem with my drive. I used this exact same drive with my Dish reciver for years so I know its not the drive. Any help would be appreciated
