HR24-100 lag time when changing channels
HR24 lags bad when changing channels. Some times takes 10 seconds, other times feels like 30 seconds. Is there a fix for this? Have 2 HR24-100 that do the same thing. Have a HR54-200 that does not have lag time when changing channels

after doing a receiver reset - by way of ATT website, i've seen an improvement on response time. :) we'll see how long it lasts.

You can try a search for clearmybox that will dump the guide data and other things and it will take a day or 2 to rebuild it, any recording set to record will. You can also press the red reset button twice within 30 minutes to do the same thing press once then wait until it reboots to the live program then press again.

i have the same issue - HR23-700. i thought it was atmosphere driven as at first it seemed to happen most at night.. now it's anytime. even the response for anything on the remote sometimes is really poor.

If resetting the DVR using the "CLEARMYBOX" keyword search doesn't solve the issue, then it's likely the DVR's hard drive is dying.

No, unless there is a hard drive problem then they are lost anyway.

That most likely was a refresh of the authorizations.

So the clearmybox (press the red reset button twice within 30 minutes to do the same thing press once then wait until it reboots to the live program then press again.) helped for a bit with the lag time between changing channels, but now the receiver looses signal (happened about 5 times since doing the clearmybox, with Error code 771. When error code shows, at the same time my Genie HR54-200 does not loose signal. Sometimes the signal picks up on the HR24-100 other times I have to reset the receiver (press the red button).
I swapped my 2 HR24-100 and they still sometimes get error code 771.
I believe my 2 HR24-100 receivers are going bad. Time for may be an upgrade. Question is what are the best options available?

Receivers fall within a range of tuner sensitivity so the HR24s maybe telling you to check the dish alignment while it hasn't gotten bad enough to trigger the HR54.
