I pulled hdmi connector apart by accident

Was checking behind my direct tv boxnfor loose connection or wire as instructed by tech support automated message . I forgot the hdmi cable had zero slack and when i attempted to pull it from behind to check connections it pulled apart from the cable connector that goes into the back of receiver . I’ve been on hold with tech support line to direct tv for nearly 2 hours tonight . Any help would be appreciated ! Since my husband and i are disabled we watch a lot of tv even at late night due to pain issues

Is the DirecTV Receiver's HDMI port damaged, or just the cable?

You can get replacement cables at BestBuy, Walmart, etc.

If you need to replace the Receiver, wait until tomorrow to call. They're having a satellite issue right now and their phones are slammed.

Replacements are free if you have their Equipment Protection Plan, otherwise $20 for shipping.
