I want to mirror the signal from my LR receiver to the kitchen/under cabinet tv without running cable.

I'm a new DirecTV customer. As a DISH customer I could "mirror" what was playing on my livingroom TV on the little under cabinet kitchen TV. Nice for cooking dinner when the family is watching something in the LR. Our house is already wired and we don't want to run coaxial cable from the livingroom HD-DVR receiver to the kitchen. The way we did it with DISH was by using a splitter. Can this be done with DirecTV? I really hate not being able to keep up with what we're watching while I'm in the kitchen...Can some experienced tech please help? My husband use to install DISH so if you give me instructions on how to do it I'm sure he can handle it. Thanks!
