installing a new direct tv dish in florida

we will only in florida 3 to 4 months of the year , can we have a new dish installed and take our present receiver with us to florida, and then bring it back in the spring ?  and about what would the cost be for the install

No, DirecTV will only install and support equipment at your primary home address. You might be able to find a local company that could install a second dish for you, or do it yourself (see videos on YouTube). And depending on what home equipment you  have, you might not be able to take it with you (the HS17 Genie Server, for example).

DTV will not install a dish unless you place a move order then pay the $199 to move it back to the winter home and accept the 1 year contract or setup a new 2 year account for the Florida home and suspend it for 6 months per year.  You will lose all local channels when you get outside the local spot beam.   You can have a local installer to install the dish.
