Is it the remote or the box??????

When i try to change the channel, the response is pitiful.  example:  I want to change channel to 206.  so i press the buttons but only 2 registers.  it takes like 5 tries to actually get to the channel.  it's so annoying.

i am not the only one with this problem either.  my friend has the same problem.
