Is my DCAU1r0-01 cable preventing me from getting more channels on my computer?

The technician connected a DCAU1r0-01 to my computer and told us that it will take a while to work and that when the three lights light up it will work. He left and finally TWO lights lit up but so far only two. Is this the reason I have trouble with not being able to get some t.v. channels on my computer? He left last week.

That's a DECA Ethernet-to-Coax network adapter. It bridges your DirecTV satellite cables to your home network so that your DirecTV boxes can access the internet using the satellite coax cables. It has nothing to do with viewing DirecTV channels on your computer.

What are your DirecTV box model numbers?

Are they able to access the internet?
