is RF antenna supposed to be included with the rf remote?

I recently ordered a rf antenna for my direct tv plus receiver, model r15. I want to be able to run the receiver when the remote is not directly pointing at the machine.

I got the new remote, and I followed the set up directions, but it still doesn't work unless you are directly in front of the machine. I read in the instructions about using the rf antenna, which the instructions said was included with the remote. I got no antenna with my remote. Was it supposed to be included? I see a plug in on the back of my reciever for one.

If it is not included with the receiver or the remote, where do I get one? I don't see it offered on the website.

Thanks, PJ
