Jumping picture on white scenes

About 1 month ago Directv "upgraded" my receiver.  My house is wired for F connectors (coax).  The installer connected a modulator between the receiver and the house wiring for me.

When any TV screens have a picture with a lot of white, it jumps (looses sync).  Is this a problem with the modulator?  I have 1 4-way splitter.  If I direct connect to the modulator, the screen does not jump.  If I press "INFO" on the remote, the screen does not jump.

thanks,

Gene

your probably need and amplifier to drive the modulator.  the output from the MOD is made to drive one TV.   once you add splitters and long cable runs, this is result.
