I reached out to your DirectTV tech service department. They are sending a new Genie box (main unit) and new remote RC73. It is suspected the box is not going through all of the possible remote codes. We only see trying 1 of 44. The box never completes all possible code combinations. I have tried a universal remote RC65 and one of the Durabrand codes will now work the volume..but not the power on and off. I will use the RC65 until the new box arrives. This is very frustrating, and I am not sure going through all the trouble of replacing the Genie box will fix this issue. It is what your tech service recommended...so will try.
