Keeping R22 & asking for H25 for bedroom, (no need for DVR), will we need any other equipment? What to expect when he gets here? Plz!
Hi everyone,
I'm nervous...no reason, just has been nearly 30 years since had serious cable guy work done. We don't want to turn in our R22, it has the Grand Blessings movies on it, so happy can keep it. (Side question: Since HD takes up lots of memory, can I just change settings to 480 before recording things?) Don't need a DVR in bedroom, so just want regular HD receiver, the H25. I understand we need a new dish, new nodes and a new pole/mount? Wires strung/pulled, I hope not...ugh! I wish it could just be a trade off at the door. So, will the R22 need anything other than simple setting changes? External things or added discs or cards? Why do they need to run new cable wire? Is it bigger? Will there be additional drilling to make current holes bigger? I guess I'm winding myself up...bad past experience with overbearing man, insisting I didn't know what I was talking about and so I want to be well informed in case something like that happens again.
Thanks so very much for everyone's help.

Hi Zenith, we appreciate you being keen on your upcoming technician appointment. Yes, you could change the resolution to 480p before recording to save your memory space. For the upcoming technician appointment with installing the R22 receiver, any adjustments that need to be done, including drilling holes, connecting new cables and wires, etc., will be decided by the technician dispatched to your location. This is why a person above 18 should be present during the appointment for any changes to be made at the home for the installation.
