Last chance Recordings

Some of my favorite shows say last chance.  How do I keep these shows from deleting until I have time to watch them?  10% available space

Hi, @Zipsick. We're here to help. You can click on the recording with the "Last Chance" icon shown on the left, after that choose the "Keep" option, and then choose "Keep until I delete. " Once done, please refresh your device.

Thanks for your prompt response, @shannon02  and @Jon791.

Thanks for choosing DIRECTV. 💙 Kenneth, DIRECTV Community Specialist.

With only 10% space left Keep until I delete will not work well as new programs will still delete the oldest recordings.

AFAIK you can only store the programs for 30 days on a mobile device.

It only works until the drive is full then it starts deleting the oldest recording to make room for new recordings.

so, is there a case it ever deletes anything before it runs out of space?

to put it another way, is there a situation where the system deletes a recording when there's space available, but it's time based?

For me, the ones I have indicated "keep" were never deleted, only the oldest ones not marked keep (when space runs out).

So maybe it works on my system and not yours? I have gemini/genie 2

Only if you stop recording, AFAIK all DTV DVRs will delete the oldest recordings to make room for the newest recordings.  When you run out of unmarked as keep recordings then it will start deleting the keep.
