Local HDs drop out when recording certain other HD channels

I have a very annoying problem with my HD receiver. I wemt as far as to "Reset everything" and lost my recordings and schedules which I'm not too happy about. At least it led to a proper diagnosis for anyone willing to read this and help out.

I live in Pittsburgh and get their local HDs. Often, my local HDs would go out. I would be able to switch to other HDs (ESPN, USA, TNT) and those would be fine, which tells me its not the dish or reception. Upon resetting the receiver during thanksgiving, because the football game went out again and I just got TOO annoyed, here is what I noticed:

First, it went out at exactly 5pm, during the hour switch. At that time, House reruns on USAHD were set to start recording. Again, I could switch TO USAHD and be able to watch it or any other NONLOCAL HD channel (ESPN, TNT).

Secondly, if I CANCEL the USAHD recording of house, within about 1-2 minutes the local HDs come back.

I have a HR20 dual tuner HD DVR. When local HDs go out, all I get is a black screen, no error messages or lost signal meter.

I SHOULD be able to record House and watch a live HD game (i WAS NOT recording the game, only one tuner was recording). Something weird is going on. ALmost as if the same transponder or something carries both my locals and JUST USAHD and I have poor reception to just that transponder? Probably wrong...

Please someone? This is highly annoying.
