Location Free Remote issues following DirecTV update

I have used my location free with directv for many years, but all of a sudden since the most recent update I am unable to use the List function or any other remote function with out getting an error.  The error ask the user to change the receiver from HD to Standard by holding the exit key.  Which is impossible to do from the Location Free but has to be done on the actual receiver.  HELP.. I am on the road 340 days of the year.. and I really need my location free to work properly.
