Lodging Receivers were mandated by Direct Tv at my residence because I rent my home short term as a vacation rental on VRBO.

I understand the safety that is needed since I have the public staying in my house were Dtv is on 8 different TVs.   The new “lodging receivers” have no DVR, On Demand, PPV, pause, rewind or record.  The channels I can have are limited.  I DID not ask for the conversion from my residential account where I have had Dtv for over 15 years.  They made me change the Receivers and I had to pay for all equipment and installation.  This was all explained to me beforehand.

The problem I have is that the “lodging receiver” remotes have no PARENTAL CONTROL like the old receivers.  Therefore channel 575-599 (Playboy, Penthouse, and Hustler) titles are listed in the guide.  There is NO access to the show but the guide SHOWS the title!!  Unbelievable.  After spending all this money and Dtv mandating this change I have less control on my TV as to what is listed on the guide and I CANNOT block out the channel listing.  Ridiculous.  

This new plan was laid out to me as safer and its actually worse.  Direct TV you should be ashamed of yourself that those channels are on the base package and not an ADD on like they should be.
