Lost local channels at camp

We took our old dish and 2 receivers to our cabin and used the 2 connections at the dish to go to 2 separate tvs, we have lost the local channels on 1 tv and the usual restarts and resets arent helping. Is it most likely the connection at the dish or do we need a multiswitch for both cables, then run seperate cables to both tv's?

Thanks

Try refreshing your Receiver authorizations at http://www.directv.com/resend.  If that doesn't help, try swapping this "bad" Receiver with one of your good Receivers.  If the problem stays with the "bad" Receiver, you can be pretty sure it's defective.  If the problem stays in its room, then something is wrong with the satellite feed into that room.  Let us know what you find.

It must be the feed, if we move the box in the other room it will pick up local, I guess my only other question is do we need a multi switch or not.

Thanks

If you have two receivers (no DVRs) then each of them connects to the dish via single cable. No splitters. And you don't need a multiswitch.

OK, I'll check the roof connection when I go back down Tuesday.

I appreciate the help.

Thanks
