Mounting options

Im in the proses of adding on to my home. I had a technician come out to remove my dish to the ground for the meantime.  I had a technician come out to reinstall dish back to the home today. He told me he couldnt install it where it was before because there was sheet metal  added to the fascia. And he could not drill into the flashing. He wanted to put a pole instead. What is the reason you cant mount to the same place it was mounted before?

Hello @QuestaNM,

We understand you're having issue with tech not being able to place satellite dish back in the same location. Don't worry we can help.

How long was the old dish on the roof?

The sheet metal could make it hard for them to place the dish without it leaking or causing damage to the roof is why the tech suggested a pole.

There are very specific rules and regulations when installing satellite dishes and we, as technicians are making sure everything is up to our high standards. We require that dishes should be able to stand up to high winds without being ripped from the home. The last thing we would want is any extensive damage to your home beyond the scope of the install.
