MRV NO networked DVRs found

My house is networked
I have reset receivers
HR22-100
HR23-700

My receivers have uploaded the new software
They are lan'd
Opt in on both
reset (RED BUTTON) both numerous times

still no luck seeing the other receiver

Here is what is in my setup menus

Multi-room
share playlist
share play list yes
allow deletion from all rooms

Name Location 1 is Livingroom other or MBdrm

status Multi-room: authorized
No networked DVRs found

Beta OPT OUT ( which I assume I am opted in)
cancel

I have tried all your set ups to no avail any Ideas???

Have you been able to use the network feature at all up to this point ? Media Share, Direct2PC or On Demand.

How are the DVR's connected to your network ? if hard-wired, are you definitely using top port ?

Same issue. Every receiver is networked and passes network test. Still getting "no networked DVR receivers found". Does not have to be a DVR! HR22-100 and H23-600 so far. Didn't bother networking my other 2 receivers yet. Tired of resetting everything. Direct2pc, Media Share and On Demand all fine.Under misc. options on H23, only thing that shows up is the report option.

Iamqnow,

Did you get a Multi Room set up option on both the HR22 and the H23? I didn't think any non DVRs got the upgrade yet. A box will find a networked DVR only if it is opted in and there is a networked DVR in another place on the network. A DVR will not see itself. It's best to start a new thread though. Answering two posters in one thread who may or may not have the same problem is unwieldy.

So, are you saying it won’t work with a non-dvr? (Until another download)What’s the point? Originally they said we would not “connect” at first from dvr to dvr, now that’s obviously not the case. Please, I am not hard timing you, I greatly appreciate your response, but I am really getting tired of this. How long were we “teased” with this. So the download I rec’d this am to my HR22-100 is really worthless at this point as I have 3 other HD receivers but no other HD/DVR units?

What kind of Ethernet switch (or switches) are you using? I had a problem using a managed switch, and had to connect the DVR's together via an un-managed switch before they could see each other.

I have a D-Link 4 port switch in between. Could be an issue, maybe tomorrow I’ll bypass it, but everything else goes through it just fine. Musicast server, clients, etc. Thanks for the input.

Thanks greywolf. Did not get the option on the H23. Only on the HR22-100. Guess I misunderstood what was being released. Totally contrary to the initial “what’s happening” posts starting last year. This makes it a waste for me unless the H-xxxx receivers are getting an update very soon. My contract is over next month, we are probably moving, and I got phenomenal pricing for the 3 pack from cable. I always liked D* but money is money and if this is all they can offer now, I need to really consider switching. I can get 4 HD/DVR cable boxes from Comcast, great phone deal and internet for $80 less per month. I like D* and was holding out for this release but if it is only for DVR units, what’s the point? For me anyway.

There are so many cross talk discussions going in this thread I'm not surprised that some TechKnow Guides abandoned it.
iamqnow, You need to relax. The download for your receiver in working it's way across the country. Software is released on a staggered basis and takes several days or weeks to reach everyone. If you wish to ask any follow up, please start a new thread.
