MRV software on HR23, but not on H23

I enabled the MRV on my HR23 and when I when upstairs to enable it on my H23, there wasn't any software or option for me to turn it on. Is it possible that Directv is sending it to DVR boxes first and then to the non-DVR boxes? I figured since they were starting the beta in LA, where I live that the software would have been sent to both of my boxes. Does anyone have any ideas on why this has happened.

Thanks, Frank

The new software for the compatible HD Receivers (H21 and H23) had not started rolling out yet. Be patient.

litzdog911,

So do I understand it correctly that there is a National Release for the DVR's being currently rolled out and if you have networked HD DVR's in all rooms of your home you will be good to go for MRV. But, if you have 1 networked HD DVR and the networked boxes in your other rooms are HD Receivers you will have to wait on the next National Release for the receivers before you can use MRV??? Seems like they would have rolled out the DVR and receiver releases concurrently to make MRV available to users with networked HD receivers. Does anyone have any idea how long it will be before the H21/H23 receivers get a MRV enabling National release?

Yes, you understand it correctly, it works great between DVR's. Staggered receiver 0x4395 rollout began on Jan 20, the widespread rollout can't be far behind. Here are the release notes.

dj:
I think the H21/H23 national release is coming in next few weeks. Should be soon.

Dang, I was all excited when I powered up my HD DVR and saw I had the MRV option. Went down to the theater and powered that guy up and no MRV option.

Of well, patience is a virtue, no?

They (whoever "they" are) claim it is, but sometimes I wonder.

Well, I'm beginning to get excited in that I received the software upgrade last night(Nashville, TN area) on my HR20-700(it actually interrupted a DVD burning session from my DVR, but I'm not too mad about that:0). So I went into the Menu and "Opted In" for the Multi-Room Beta which then gave me several additional menu tabs:
1)Status.
When I clicked on this I got Multi-Room: and Authorized "headings" on the screen with "No networked DVR's found" underneath the headings.
2)Name Location
I clicked on this and entered/set-up the name for the HR20-700 to show as "HR20 In Den"
3)Share Playlist
This screen had 2 tabs, one titled "Share Playlist:" which I left set to "Yes" and one titled "Allow Deletion:" which I updated to "From this room only".....I would prefer to continue to let my main DVR be "in control" of deletion of recordings.

I kinda figured the "No networked DVR's found" message under "Status" is because my networked H21 has not received the receiver software to enable it for MRV and once that is downloaded and I "Opt In" on the H21 then it will show up on my HR20 and I should be "good to go". Sure hope the HD receiver software gets rolled out real soon!!!!!!
