multi-screen viewing

I have read articles about viewing two or more channels on a single TV screen available from DirecTV.  Is this feature available ?  Not concerned with multi channel broadcasts for "golf - tennis" but ability to choose my channels.

No, no current DirecTV receiver offers PIP (picture-in-picture) or POP (picture-on-picture) and I don't expect any will; certainly not any time soon. You would need a TV that has those features built-in along with two DirecTV receivers, one for each channel you wanted to watch via PIP/POP.
