native on and off

I have a H23 receiver. I have checked the hookup thru my vcr player. Satalite cable into VCR via RCA audio in and video in. Then out to TV via coax.

Problem is I get a blue screen. I have changed the resolution to 480i and that does not help.

How do I set the "native" from on to off and or off to on? I don't see any way to make that selection. My screen is totally blue.

I've also done a reset, and that does nothing.

thanks for staring your own thread.  your problem has nothing to do with native being on or off. make sure that the VCR is set to the right inout.  usually line 1 or 2

so if I understand correctly you have a H23 that is connected to your VCR with RCA cables and then from your VCR goes the signal through COAX to your tv??? Now you are degrading a great performance car! because a HD receiver that gives you a digital signal from RCA cables you get a RF signal from a coax to the tv so your tv has to be on tv mode not on video, and it depends on the VCR outsource channel then it can be set on channel 3 or 4 on the tv, so you'll get your image. But let me give you a peace of advice. Connect the H23 to your tv directly and then get another set of cables to your VCR so you can record what ever you want. (again high performance car been used on the wrong way)
