Need help programming Remote Control to control the Direct TV DVR receiver

Can someone please help me program the Direct TV RC648 white remote control to control the HD DVR receiver?  My other remote is lost and this one has never been used.  I had no trouble programming the TV, the Yamaha surround sound or the Magnavox DVD player.  Just cannot get any instructions anywhere to program initially the remote control to control the receiver.
