Need to move router, can I just use a splitter for the DECA broadband adapter?

We currently have whole home DVR. When we had it set up, our router was in our bedroom. The installer ran one coax to our living room HD DVR receiver, then ran two coax cables to the bedroom (one for the D12 receiver, one for the DECA broadband adapter).

We had to move our router out to the living room. Since there is only one coax coming in, can I just put in a coax spliter and still have full whole home functionality? If not, is there a better solution?

you can def use a DirecTV approved "special" SWM 2 way splitter.  this is assuming that your main splitter is not a 4 way.  if your main splitter is an 8 way, you must not use any more splitters.  keep in mind that special consideration must be made to the line that is running the power inserter.

Here is the item you'd need.  Plus two short coax cables.
