NETWORKED VIA ETHERNET REQUIRED OR WILL SWIM SWITCH WORK?

I have a HD DVR 22 hooked up to the internet, a standard DVR (not hooked up to the internet), and a hd receiver not hooked up to the internet. Both DVRs are hooked to a SWIM. Can the receivers see each other through that or is the ethernet network connection required?

During the beta period an Ethernet network connection is required (between your HD DVR and your HD receiver). However, when the MRV goes mainstream Directv will make available a system (DECA) that will connect the HD boxes via the coax cable already in place. They are specifically recommending that folks such as yourself just sit tight and await the mainstream release.

Ok will do. I wonder how much they are going to soak us for this?

We haven't a clue, but let's hope it's reasonable. It will surely (we hope) be cheaper than a pair of wireless adapters.
