New install, and a number of questions?....Please help
Thank You in advance. I'm sure a number of my questions have been answered on a number of other posts, but here goes. I got an upgrade today(which I am not happy with. Whole nother story. didn't care for the install guy.) I previously had two recievers on HD DVR and one standard DVR. I upgraded and added another HD DVR and a HD reviever and got rid of the standard DVR, also added whole home DVR. I have a two story house. I had the HD DVR downstairs and the standard DVR upstairs. I was able control the other tvs upstairs from the standard DVR with a RF modulator. Install guy said that I cant use splitters with the new system. Can this be fixed so that I can control the other upstairs tv's? Would be a major disapointment if I could not. So he swapped out the standard DVR and added a HD DVR. I am able to get video but no audio in the other rooms. Is there a different type of splitter that I can use? Next question. I had a standard HD reviever added to one of the room downstairs and that was fine, but now I can not get the Whole home DVR to work with any of the recievers. Install guy left and never said anything about it, so I assumed everything was fine. I asked him several times if I was going to have Whole home DVR service. He stated that I would. He seemed like he was in a hurry to get out the door. I had a slim line dish which he changed and added a single wire multiswitch. Next question was I asked him about a Cinema plus kit so that I could watch shows from the DVR on the PC. He stated that he had one in his truck, but asked if I was sure that I wanted it because he stated that Directv will charge we a fee every month and that it would be like I had another reciever. Is this true? I'm sure I have more questions but that is all I can think of at the moment. again thank you..
THe equiment that I have now is as follows:
Downstairs I have a HD DVR HR 20-100, and a H21-200
Upstairs I have a HR24-100 Which does not have a RF antenna( disappointed)
