New install

Hello,

I am having DirecTV installed soon but want to know how many cables would be run from the dish (roof) to my distribution point (basement)?

I have ordered 5 receivers (includes one Whole Home DVR).

With new installs I have read that it is possible only one 1 RG6 SCC cable is needed from dish to distribution point.

All rooms are already cabled with 2 cables each back to the basement.

I would like to run the cable from the roof to my basement myself (i purchased RG6 SCC with messenger cable). I want it it to go through my attic to my basement not down the side of my home).
