NEW SAT Install-Apt Building

Okay so I posted previously about potentially having the dish in my window. I have now obtained authorization from a leasing agent to install a dish in the back yard on a pole. My apartment is on the third floor facing the front parking lot and in the back of the building where the pole will be placed, there is a vent to a small server room where there is already a cable splitter feeding a coax to each apartment. Would it be best to try to push the line from the pole into that vent and tap into the line going to my apartment or will the tech be able to run the cable up the front of the building to my window? Ideally, I would like to have the swm splitter in my apartment near the receiver. The goal is to be able to easily take all equipment with me if I were to move.

I also requested an HR54 or HR44 receiver. I do not want an HS17. Do these require a power supply for the SWM? I haven't had DTV sat since 2014 and back then it was a swm power supply.

The HR54 has it built in, the HR44 will need it.  You can't use preexisting coax unless it it can be only be used for DTV.
