New software download for my Genie has been running all day.

New software download for my Genie has been running all day.

It has listed itself as 22% completed since 8am this morning.

Sounds like I need a new box.  Too bad there is no one to talk with or arrange a service call.

It says to not interfere while doing a download, and certainly not to turn it off.  So, I guess a red button reset is something else, then?

Updates take 5-10 minutes not all day so something went wrong and only resetting it will at least get it running again.

Are you having trouble with the download? 

Is it giving any errors while downloading?

If so, it's best to try giving it a reset, either by completely unplugging or pressing the red reset button.
