Newest software clobbers To Do list
The 0xd1 software update loaded two nights ago. Since then, my To Do list has been static; only entry today is for a show recorded last night.
Anyone else seen this?
The actual recording schedule does seem to be getting executed. So it appears only the display of the To Do list is affected.
I've restarted the recorder several times. This sometimes affects the To Do list by one-or-two entries, but I never get the full update of what is supposed to be upcoming.
I also noticed that the Guide update seemed to take forever after the last software load. For the first 12 hours after the download, I only had 24 hours worth of Guide. Guide now seems OK, but I don't recall ever seeing it this slow to update before. And recorder had been on for several days so why should a software update clobber the Guide?
Finally, played back the Blue Angels HD show recently broadcast on Discovery Channel HD. Playback was abyssmal with stops, gaps, decoding defects, etc. all through it. System test shows good signals from all transponders/satellites so I think the dish is aimed correctly. I don't believe this channel is MPEG4 (I did record it frequently on my 250) so I don't believe the playback could have been associated with MPEG4 content. Of course, it was recorded with the software prior to 0xd1 and played back with 0xd1 but that shouldn't make a difference...
Almost ready to go back to my 250 and wait for the beta testing to complete sometime in the future....
