No Signal and Record Light is on

Been gone for a couple of days, turned tv on and all we got was static. Checked the channel, checked the input, checked the tv functionality and everything was correct. Our DVR had the record light on and that was it. I tried reseting the DVR, did not work. I unplugged the DVR and let it set for a few minutes. When I started the DVR back up it tried to initiate, but then stopped and no signal came on the screen. The record light has stayed on, except when unplugged.
