Not Right

had a snowstorm here in Boston Area the last couple of days, not a major one. about 5-6 inches one day and 1 inch the other. here is the problem. i cannot watch tv now searching for satellite signal error message was messing up a lot of my channels, so i reset the receiver by hitting the red button. now i cannot get nothing. it will not reset and keeps showing me searching for satellite signal message. it will do this for about 10 minutes and then go to a screen which says acquiring guide data. it stops there. tried it 3 times now and same thing. one little storm and my service is blacked out. do i have to call someone to come over and get my tv working again. this is bull. i am so angry now. if this is a future problem than i don't want to deal with this anymore. can anyone tell me what is going on here and if it happens to you too when you have a little snowstorm. thanks in advance.
